01 : Chili Con carne

When it's cold Chili is the recipe who let me the best feeling of warm inside of me as it's hot temperature and some spicy taste act together to give me a great inside comfort. Take note that this recipe is enough to give a familial crockpot full as you can see.

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound of ground beef.
  • 2 cans of red beans.
  • 4 yellow oignons in small chunks.
  • 2 mild orange peppers cutted in small cubes.
  • 1 big can of entire tomatos in theyre juice.
  • 1 cup de Ketchup.
  • 2 tea cuillers of  cumin.
  • 4 soup cuillers of coriandre in powder.
  • 4 soup cuillers of chili powder.
  • 2 or 3 cups of water
  • salt as you wish.

Steps
  1. Into a little oil of olive, grill a little the beef into a pan. After transfer it into the crockpot.

  2. Do the same with oignons and mild peppers. As oignons are lowering of volume you can transfer the contain of the pan into the crockpot again.

  3. throw into a stainer the 2 cans of red beans that you will rince into water. Throw them after into the crockpot.

  4. Add all other ingredients into the crockpot and mix them. Use a wood cuiller to broke the entire tomates in many pieces.

  5. Let cooking everything at high for at least 4 hours. More? Simple question of taste.

  6. You can mix again just sometime. If you did it, broke again with the cuiller the tomatoes pieces you judge too big.

  7. it's a pleasure to enjoy them very hot!

  Particularities:

As i didn't have coriandre in powder, i use some in seed i already had and crush it with a manual grinder. It give a better texture.

I enjoy the warmer teint it take as i use orange peppers to change from the classic reds one. If you enjoy the recipe more spicy, feel free to add any piment sauce. But beware. Not too much... I assure you that the long cooking increase the strong of piments.

2 or 3 cups of water into the crockpot? Question of taste. Me i ad 3 cause i simply enjoy a juicy texture for the chili. Not at the point it look like a soup but just enough.
