The St-John's Parade 2008 in Montreal...

I zoomed that trombone in the goal to see i nice reflection, but i saw much the dropplets of the quick but strong rain who fall just a few minutes before the parade start. Fortunatly, it was strong but just for a few minutes and after it stop and there was only joy and sun :)

To make a little different i choose some shots who show smile, happiness, music and details. Let explore the joy of the parade...

Quebec have 400 years now! We can say it's the Golden Age right? Of course those actors of persona of the past don't have the same age... But let's turn them into gold for the occasion :) Just a little touch of fantasy...

Juggling with fruits is probably better for the health. I don't know what was the fine word, but it appear it was a funny one!

It was a good surprise! I know them (Tom & Ly) to do many shots before on they're trampoline performances. Of course they pass some quick, but i could take enough photos to do that montage. Her sun follew them in many events and shows. Here i was enjoyed by that sun/mother aspect. When playing and working are together it's great! Don't you think?!

400 years and we continue to celebrate. Here i enjoyed that 2 different generation together in a same picture. The natural of the scene simply please me...

A little touch of grace. Thanks young lady par that delicate posture :) It was not the camera who make she put down the eyes... It was the choregraphy. The posture have some charm :)

And we hope that in the next 400 years, there will be again a nice Quebec to give to the younger generations...

I talk about musique before. Of course there was a lot of music. Can we imagine the parade without music? In a simple way i enjoyed the synchronicity of that duo who was concentrated on the music...

I have a tendance to call him the Violonist of the Evil. Nothing in commun with the reality but in 400 years in Québec we invent sole legends of course. One of them is about the Devil who give the obligation to dance with a magic violin. It's just cause with his band he sing and play violin. He invited poeple to follow the parade behind a line of worthy...

IN in that final line we could recognize at least... Gilles Duceppe, Pauline Marois and our Tremblay Mayor.

And that's all... No giant marionets or allegoric cars. There was many of course. But i prefer to show this time, only the human nature of the parade. And even with just that aspect... I'm happy to see it give a colorfull presentation. Hope it please you!
